The Premonition Dreamt It was a Child

This next later-phase image symbolizes a quiet, nostalgic yearning for those lovely parts of my childhood that were either lost or at least, diminished, amidst the ugliness of the abuse.

A somewhat significant difference between these two related latter stage paintings is the eye color. In the previous painting, the eyes more closely match the desert sand. In the painting below, the eyes are green – envious of the childhood it can’t really have.
