Return of the Furniture Guys

Remember “The Furniture Guys” from TLC and PBS? You can still see lots of their shows on YouTube. I’ve known Furniture Guy Ed Feldman for a couple of years now and recently he asked me to take a few photos of him with his cohort Joe L’Erario. The Furniture Guys may be making a comeback to TV, so they needed some publicity photos to send to whoever they send such things to. These are my favorite photos from that shoot, all taken at Architectural Antiques in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.

  5. Great shows they had. They were magic together.Great chemistry and sense of humor.Got to say though,I’m missing Ed’s head of curly locks,it fit him so well. They need to get back on TV where they belong, remember the Cable Ace they won? I’m thinking they could win some more awards ,without even half trying.

  10. Awesome photos! Seeing Ed and Joe together brings back so many wonderful nostalgic memories. I absolutely loved ‘Furniture To Go.’ Of course that was back when TLC was actually about learning, but I digress.

And why is it called a C-clamp? Because you can see it!

  12. I HAVE BEEN WAITING AND HOPING FOR YEARS THAT YOU 2 NUTS WOULD COME BACK ON TV. WHEN I FIRST DISCOVERED YOUR SHOW, IT WAS QUITE BY ACCIDENT. I WAS FLIPPING THROUGH THE CHANNELS AND SAID ”WHO ARE THESE NUTS?” AND BEFORE I KNEW IT I WAS HOOKED. THAT WAS THE SUMMER DOCTORS FOUND INOPERABLE TUMORS ON MY LOWER SPINE. I WOULD CRY FOR AN HOUR EVERY MORNING BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WAS SEEING THE LAST SUMMER OF MY LIFE. YOU GUYS BROUGHT LAUGHTER BACK INTO MY LIFE AND GAVE ME SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWWARD TO EVERYDAY. GLAD TO SAY I AM FINE NOW. I DID MEET YOU GUYS IN MY CITY, PROVIDENCE,R.I. I GAVE JOE A TOY ROBART FROM LOST IN SPACE, IT EVEN TALKED. DON,T KNOW IF YOU REMEMBER THAT JOE. HOPE TO SEE YOU BOTH BACK ON THE TUBE SOON, TV REALLY SUCKS NOW.

  14. Miss those guys. It was like watching the next door neighbor They were easy to understand and tackled projects that a beginner could handle. But they could also show the difficult jobs and make them look doable. Hope they come back

  17. Funny and inspiring in their day. I heard Ed Feldman speaking recently and unfortunately he’s so hate-filled that I would not enjoy seeing him again.

  18. I think about joe and ed every time i work with and/or touch wood. ;)! I first saw them on the air around 1994 when I was about 16. Who would have thought two skilled craftsmen with a sense of humor would have such a lasting effect on me. Bring them back! Also, Joe looks like he ate Colin Quinn.
