Blue Angel – Reclaiming My Childhood
Acrylic on Canvas – 18″ x 24″
This painting is an expression of release – it features the bright colors that represent a free, happy childhood. (The same colors are present in my other painting “You made the colors of my world bleed”, but the effect is very different.) Amongst the fun, abstract shapes and colors is a yellow band that is a stylized highway, leading me on with my life. In the upper right corner is an abstract angel in blue – a Protector that I finally recognized was there all along, who helped me through my childhood and who will accompany me on the rest of my journey.
