Hurt Hate
Acrylic on Masonite – 24″ x 29″
This painting was executed during a particularly ugly period. My pain was represented with a tarot card image of a heart being pierced with knives. My hatred was expressed with a torn up picture of my abusing grandfather – the only way I could convey my violent feelings towards a person who was long dead but who was still impacting me so profoundly.
